Podcasts for ADHDers!!
wow! I splurged on myself big time and bought myself an ipod!! That handy dandy little thing is so much fun! I have my Latin pop in one folder, my Christian music in another, and my good ol' rock n roll in another.. Just switch the dial for the mood I'm in and there ya go!
When exploring itunes for fun stuff to put on my new toy, I found several podcasts for ADHDers BY ADHDers ! The only problem is, that they are done by ADHDers, and um, well, in typical ADHD form, they don't get updated very much! LOL
( Sidebar: For the less techy, Podcasts are essentially audio blogs, but you don't need an ipod to listen in. )
However, there is some GREAT information out there! Here are the webpages of the ones that I have found helpful:
http://www.addpodcast.org/ This is a female ADHDer who shares her research about the disorder. I especially like her comments on small talk and conversations.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/ADDchurch "The divinely distracted Church" I just love it!! These guys really hit home on many ADHD issues and put them in the light of Christian Faith. They haven't updated in a while, I hope they do so soon!
http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheADDrealityshow Jerry and Dennis may or may not be doing this one anymore, I am not sure.. Because I believe that they are also doing the above podcast.. However, they could be doing both!! Lots of great info here also! Once again, from a spiritual perspective.
didn't intend for my new toy to become a real tool for ADHD. Go figure, I guess you never know what's out there!
